My attempt to increase glorious alone time

"Let's shake hands and reach across those party lines..."

No matter what type of situation, emotion, or life lesson, there seems to be a song for everything. Why is that? Do we react based on previous experiences or do we categorize every reaction as new? For me, music isn't about listening to the newest or most popular song. Instead, it's about giving myself time to think about my life. Often, we're in hyper mode and don't take the time to just sit back and relax. We go to class, go to work, hang with our friends, cuddle with our significant other, but when it comes time to just chill with ourselves, we can't find the time. We may be able to manage everything else into 24 hours, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, but we can't find one minute to spend alone.
For some, being alone is scary. Being alone means less social time, less friend time, less relationship time. What's up with that? Alone can also mean recharging, refueling. When I'm alone, I get to catch-up on sleep, read a good book, watch my favorite show, and yes, listen to some awesome jams.
Thus, my foray into blogging is an attempt to get the most out of me time. I want the opportunity to make sense of my wandering thoughts and notions. Is it no suprise, then, that I use music to introduce myself to the blogging world? Music is universal, and hey, I figure that most of us are big enough to "...shake hands and reach across those party lines..." :)
